We all get lost in everyday life. RIGHT NOW Start something and develop a new skill. If you have something you’ve always wanted to do, dedicate sometime every day to do it. Don't make a big deal out of it and see how far you can go. This will work best with a video camera as you can see your progress. So let's get to it.
Some ideas for you guys to get you started. Dancing, impressions, comedy act, juggling anything. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a skill, you can take a walk every day for 30 days or go to the gym and see the benefits and soon you will be motivated to stick with it for life. It can even be something to give up, drinking, smoking, eating Junk food etc.
I’m going to give this a go myself. 30 days of dancing, wish me luck. Soon you will get addicted to the progress. If it's difficult then keep pushing and after the 30 days if you don't see an improvement move on to something else it’s that simple. I think a lot of people stress over things they regret not giving a go, this way you can attack these head on. If you are a shy person do this in private and I can tell you just from the progress you will gain confidence. Look at this as time to do something you enjoy.
You never know, you could find that you have a hidden talent you never imaged you had, which you share to the world. So think outside the box. We live in a time where we can educate ourselves. All the materials you need are on the internet and in books there are no excuses. Don't stress this, don't think anything of it. Put all of your efforts into it and see what happens. You are your own critic evaluate you progress see where you are going wrong and move forward. You will constantly fail but you get back up. And by getting up you can self-evaluate and improve.
Here is an example of someone dedicating a year and watch the progression.
